Andrey Santos starts for Chelsea in the Champions League tonight due to the absence of Reece James. The Englishman was ruled out ahead of the match and will likely be out for “several weeks” according to Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior.
Rosenior has made four changes to the side that started in Paris, with Robert Sanchez coming in for Filip Jorgensen. At the back, Mamadou Sarr and Jorrel Hato replace Wesley Fofana and Malo Gusto.
Estevao returns to the bench after missing the last six matches with a hamstring injury. Enzo Fernandes is named captain for the 50th time in his Blues career.
The Blues trail 5-2 on aggregate after super-sub Kvicha Kvaratskhelia scored two and assisted one in the first leg.
Their record against PSG isn’t great either, with their last home win against the French giants in the Champions League coming in 2014.
The final score that night was 2-0 thanks to goals from Andre Schurrle and Demba Ba.
With a mountain to climb, Liam Rosenior said: “We know we have to be perfect and that is my focus. We have an opportunity to do something really special.”
Chelsea forward Joao Pedro, who starts up front this evening, insisted that he still believes his side can complete an incredible comeback.
He said: “We showed our power in the Club World Cup final [against PSG] – we won that game 3-0, and now we have to score three goals again. The group believes, the coach believes, and I think the fans should believe as well because tomorrow is going to be a great game to watch.”
