A weekend of FA Cup against came and went and it was back to league action before we knew it. Nottingham Forest were up first and they took on Manchester City.

Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the winner in that narrow 1-0 affair meaning Forest are now four points clear in the Champions League positions.

Brighton had not won against Fulham in nine attempts since their promotion to the Premier League but a 98th minute penalty goal from Joao Pedro was enough to end that curse.

The final score was 2-1 as Jan Paul van Hecke scored his first goal for Brighton to kick start the comeback.

Crystal Palace put another three points on the board with a 1-0 win over Ipswich and Aston Villa beat Brentford 1-0 thanks to another Ollie Watkins goal.

Liverpool went behind at Anfield against Southampton but came back to comfortably win 3-1 and in the late afternoon match between Wolves and Everton, the spoils were shared as the game ended 1-1.

On Sunday, Marc Cucurella saved Cole Palmer’s blushes after a penalty miss. The Spaniard scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Leicester.

Tottenham secured a point against Bournemouth who have dropped down to ninth on 44 points.

If the title race wasn’t over already it certainly is now, Arsenal drew 1-1 to Manchester United meaning Liverpool lead by 15 points. The Gunners are now closer in points to Fulham in 10th place than they are the league leaders.

League action came to a close in the capital as West Ham fell short in a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle. Bruno Guimaraes scored the winner to get Eddie Howe’s side back to winning ways.
