Matty Cash starts to make his Champions League debut as Aston Villa look to get back to winning ways against Juventus.

Villa made a perfect start to their European season over the first three match days, beating BSC Young Boys, Bayern Munich and Bologna, without conceding.

However their form dipped and most recently in the Champions League, the Villains were defeated 1-0 by Club Brugge.

Aston Villa boss, Unai Emery, admitted that “Juventus are the favourites” to win this clash.

Juventus have lost just once under Motta since his arrival and currently sit in sixth position, four points behind leaders Napoli.

In the Champions League Juventus are 16th on seven points, whilst Villa are 12th with nine points.

In the dugout, Motta will reunite with his former coach Emery for the first time as a manager himself. The Italian played under Emery at PSG for two years.

Motta is feeling “positive” and said his side will “go into the game with great humility”.

Douglas Luiz will be denied a Villa Park reunion due to a muscular injury. Dusan Vlahovic is also out with a thigh issue.

Villa will be without Amadou Onana and Jacob Ramsey.
