Following Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid last week in the Champions League, I filmed this podcast, highlighting the impact Ben White has on Bukayo’s Saka’s game.

The conclusion was that when White plays, Saka excels. White brings something out of his Arsenal counterpart in a way Jurrien Timber simply cannot.

Now, with the news out that White will miss the remainder of the rest of the season and potentially the World Cup due to a knee injury, Arsenal could be in trouble in the Champions League final.

PSG are already the favourites heading into the match, but with half of Mikel Arteta’s dynamic right-sided duo out of action, Arsenal may struggle to get the best out of Bukayo Saka once more.

In a medical update from the club, Arsenal said: “Further to Sunday’s match at West Ham United, subsequent assessments and specialist reviews have confirmed that Ben White has sustained a significant medial knee ligament injury, which will rule him out for the remainder of this season.”
