Atlético Madrid must deliver a three-goal win over Botafogo and hope PSG beat Seattle Sounders to qualify for the Club World Cup knockout stage.

Clément Lenglet returns from suspension in defence. Pablo Barrios, fresh from scoring twice against Seattle, starts again in midfield.

Conor Gallagher comes into the XI, while Giuliano Simeone makes his first appearance of the tournament on the right flank.

Julián Álvarez leads the line again, supported by Alexander Sørloth, with Antoine Griezmann dropping to the bench. Rodrigo De Paul and Manu Sánchez complete a new-look midfield.

Botafogo top Group B with six points from two games, following wins over Seattle and the European champions, PSG. Their defence has conceded just once in the competition. Surprising fans despite their heavyweight group.

Álvarez admitted the scale of the task ahead. “We need to play a great match, have almost everything go our way. . . Score the goals we need,” he said ahead of kick-off.

This is the first meeting between the two sides. Atlético are third in the group, level on points with PSG but behind on goal difference.

Only a win by at least three goals and a PSG victory will see them through.

Kick-off is at 8pm local time in Orlando.
