Premier League action begun with a bang at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest bounced back from their 5-0 defeat in game week 23 with a 7-0 victory over Brighton.
Chris Wood scored a hat-trick as Brighton suffered their worst ever Premier League defeat.
Liverpool beat Bournemouth 2-0 to extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points. Everton won back-to-back games as David Moyes continues to bring them success. The Toffees beat Leicester 4-0.
Southampton and Fulham won 2-1 against Ipswich and Newcastle respectively, whilst Wolves shocked Aston Villa by beating them 2-0.
Tottenham got back on track with a 2-0 win over Brentford on Sunday. Palace also secured a 2-0 victory, they picked up a surprising three points at Old Trafford thanks to a brace from Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Arsenal thrashed Man City 5-1 as the Hale End youngsters stole the show. Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri scored to help their side to an emphatic victory against the reigning champions.
Premier League action ended at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea came back against West Ham to win 2-1.
