Anthony Gordon has signed a new long-term contract to end speculation over a possible move to Liverpool.

The 23-year-old joined Newcastle in January 2023 from Everton and has since become a star player under Eddie Howe. He has scored 15 goals and registered 11 assists in 74 appearences.
“I’m very happy here, I like living here, the team is very suited to me – and I’m here to win a trophy.”

Since joining the Magpies, Gordon has featured in six Champions League matches, been named Player of the Tournament at the Under-21 Euros in 2023 and made seven senior appearances for England.
Newcastle manager, Eddie Howe, said: “I’m delighted Anthony has committed his future to the club. He has grown as a player and a person, and he has continued to prove just how good he is on the biggest stage.
“He is dedicated to improving himself and the team, it’s clear to see why he has such a special connection with our supporters.
