Fabian Hurzeler admitted that Brighton’s current form is the “hardest moment” of his managerial career following his side’s 1-0 defeat to rivals Crystal Palace.
The defeat means that the Albion now have just one win in their last 12 Premier League matches.
Hurzeler said: “I think everyone can imagine how you would feel if 25,000 [people], demand things and sing about you. The only two options to give up or to keep pushing, to keep working.”

Lots of players who was struggling at the moment of the situation, and therefore, it’s fine if they find the person in need to blame, because in the end, I’m responsible.
“Everyone is allowed to share their emotions. It is not an easy moment to handle. I need to face this adversity and face these boos and I need to commit to the club and I am 100% committed. I will face this adversity and I will get through it.”
In terms of his side’s performance, Hurzeler claimed Brighton controlled the game, but failed to take their chances. The hosts had just two shots on target and 11 touches in Crystal Palace’s penalty area.

“We are all disappointed. The loss of energy, the loss of intensity, I was not happy because it just was not good enough.
“We were in the right places but you need to finalise and finish an attack and that is something we definitely need to improve.”
Brighton didn’t have a single shot after Palace scored in the 61st minute. They drop to 14th and are now only eight points above the relegation zone. The Seagulls visit Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
