Kane was clincal and rifled his shot past Robert Sanchez to ensure all three points went to his team. It was the Englishman’s 10th goal against Chelsea in his career.
Bayern Munich took the lead 20 minutes in thanks to an own goal from Trevoh Chalobah. Joshua Kimmich started the move from a short free-kick, he played the ball into Michel Olise’s path on the right wing. The winger squared a pass across the Chelsea six-yard box which Chalobah put into the back of his own net.

Chelsea halved the deficit instantly when Palmer marked his 100th Chelsea appearance with a goal in the 29th minute. He found the top left corner after a quick one-two with Malo Gusto.
Palmer scored again towards the end of the match, but his deft finish was ruled out for offside. Chelsea were punished for their poor defending but have a chance to redeem themselves at the end of the month against Benfica. For Bayern, they will look to build on the win when they face Pafos FC at the Alphamega Stadium.
