Russell Martin will be aiming to secure his first win in the Scottish Premiership as Rangers F.C. manager as the Gers take on Dundee in their first home match of the league season.

Following an opening day 1-1 draw with Motherwell, in which Martin claimed that his side were “lucky to get a point”, Rangers’ new boss will be hoping to pick up where his side left off in Europe, following their 3-0 dismantling of Viktoria Plzen.

Martin has made four changes from the side that started the opening day encounter, with Jefte, Lyall Cameron, Oliver Antman and Cyriel Dessers coming into the side in place of James Tavernier, Nicolas Raskin, Kieran Dowell and Danilo.

Ex-Dundee man Cameron, who started in Rangers’ emphatic victory on Wednesday night, retains his spot, with the summer acquisition set to face off against his former employers.

Cameron started his career with Dundee and slowly rose through the ranks following loan spells with Peterhead and Montrose before a breakout season in the Scottish Championship with his boyhood club saw him score 14 goals and bag five assists in 38 appearances.

Following a mightily impressive 2024/25 season where Cameron notched 14 goals and 11 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions for Dundee, Rangers acquired the Scotsman after the midfielder agreed to a pre-contract agreement with the Glasgow-based outfit in February 2025.

Cameron’s former side started their Scottish Premiership season with a 1-2 loss at home to Hibernian, with the scoreline incredibly flattering on Dundee.

Steven Pressley’s side were comfortably second-best, with their only shot on target resulting in a goal for Finlay Robertson, with their Edinburgh opponents having over seven times more shots as well as double the amount of possession.

Dundee have not won in the past 17 meetings between the two sides and have lost each of their last 19 away fixtures versus Rangers, making the fixture between the two sides today look seemingly one-sided, with the home side keen to win to put pressure back on to Celtic.
