Things haven’t worked out for Eiran Cashin since his move to Brighton & Hove Albion in January. The defender shone for Derby County for some years and had been a target of the Seagulls for some time before they got his signature.
However, since making the move, he has barely featured for the Premier League outfit, only making two appearances in the Premier League, with both coming as a substitute.

On an individual note, he was twice voted Derby County Young Player of the Season and was named in both the EFL and PFA Team of the Season for League One in 2023/24.
No doubt a defender with real quality, Cashin will likely aim to prove why Brighton spent the £9m fee in January. Should he perform well, Cashin may find himself returning to his parent club next season, ready to push for a regular place in the Premier League.

The two will aim to form a formidable partnership, much like Klarer did with Ben Davies, who has since returned to Rangers. If they are to be as defensively resolute as last season, both Birmingham and Cashin should be in for an impressive campaign.
Birmingham will be aiming to push towards the top end of the Championship next season, with a playoff push certainly on the cards.
