Arsenal’s long-anticipated move for Viktor Gyokeres has hit a potential roadblock due to a disagreement regarding add-ons, according to Portuguese outlet, Record.
While an agreement in principle of £55 million plus £8.5 million in bonuses had been reached, talks have since slowed down.
Gyokeres’ representatives were in London to finalise terms and the striker had reportedly chosen Arsenal after direct talks with Mikel Arteta.

Despite Florian Plettenberg’s claims that the move is “done,” final confirmation remains on hold as Arsenal and Sporting continue talks. Gyökeres, under contract until 2030, is still expected to join but the deal is no longer considered guaranteed.
Should the Gyökeres transfer go through, Coventry City would receive a windfall due to a 10 per cent sell-on clause from their 2023 sale of the striker to Sporting.
Based on the reported £63.8 million total package, Coventry would pocket roughly £4.3 million, while Brighton would be owed a small percentage due to a prior agreement with Coventry.
