Dutch defender Marit Auee starts for Brighton as they aim to get back to winning ways against Liverpool.

Dario Vidosic’s side are aiming to increase the gap between fifth and sixth win a victory at the Amex.

The Reds are also looking to get back to winning ways as they have lost their last three games on the bounce across all competitions. However, in this exact fixture last season, Liverpool won 1-0.

Fran Kirby was a doubt coming into the match due to illness but she starts in the midfield alongside Nadine Noordam and Maisie Symonds.

Michelle Agyemang and Nikita Parris will lead the line for Brighton. Parris will be the player to watch today as she has scored nine WSL goals against her girlhood club. Only Jordan Nobbs and Khadija Shaw have scored more against Liverpool with 10.

Before kick-off, Parris said: “I was a Liverpool supporter growing up, but my focus is always on the team that I am playing for and getting three points. We are ready to go.”

Brighton’s record at the Amex this season has been impressive, they’ve drawn one and won one. Also, Brighton have lost just one of their last three WSL home matches against Liverpool.

In the reverse fixture Liverpool came out victorious thanks to an own goal from Jorelyn Carabali. The final score was 2-1 so the Albion will be hoping to get revenge today.

A win for Brighton would see them remain in fifth with 25 points whilst a Liverpool victory would see them leap frog their opponents.
