Jack Hinshelwood starts at right-back for Brighton as Fabian Hurzeler’s side aim to end their winless run against Fulham.
Brighton are enjoying their best run of form since their maiden Premier League season in 2017/18 but face the Cottager’s this afternoon.
The Albion have never beat Fulham in the Premier League, with their last victory coming in their promotion season eight years ago. Last time out, at Craven Cottage, Fulham’s dominant performance saw them win 3-1.
Marco Silva’s side have been excellent away from home this season, averaging, 1.7 points per away game. Only Arsenal and Liverpool have a better record.
Hurzeler was full of praise for Fulham, saying they are “an unbelievable side so we have to raise our standards.”
However, the German said that despite the Albion’s struggles against Fulham, that is no reason to doubt his in-form side.
Hurzeler said: “On a mountain you have peaks to climb, and we have a peak to climb, we have to do it as a group.”
At the Amex, there’s been far less action between the two sides over the years, with the last three meetings here producing just three goals in total.
Danny Welbeck remains on the bench but could make an impact off the bench as he did in the previous home match against Bournemouth.
If Welbeck nets today, he would overtake Pascal Gross as the club’s top Premier League goalscorer. They have both scored 30 goals for the Seagulls in the competition.
Tariq Lamptey is suspended following his sending off against Newcastle in the FA Cup last weekend. Fulham’s Sasa Lukic begins his two-game ban for accumulating 10 yellow cards.
