Joao Pedro scored a penalty in the last kick of the game to earn Brighton their first ever Premier League win against Fulham.

Brighton have now won six matches on the bounce and fly into the Europa League spots.

Pedro won the penalty himself after being brought down by Harrison Reed, referee Samuel Barrott took a moment before he pointed to the penalty spot.

The Brazilian kept his cool and dispatched past Bernd Leno. The German goalkeeper guessed the right way but was beaten by Pedro’s accuracy.

Pedro has now scored in all of his last three Premier League matches, a feat that he has never achieved before in the top-flight.

Jan Paul van Hecke started the comeback in the first half just six minutes after Fulham took the lead with a bullet header into the far corner.

The Dutchman’s goal was his first for the Albion and the assist from Yasin Ayari was his first in the Premier League.

Fulham took the lead in the 35th minute with their first shot on target through Raul Jimenez who beat Bart Verbruggen at the near post with a left-footed strike.

Alex Iwobi was at the heart of the move as he broke down the right flank with pace and found Jimenez at the back post.

It was the Mexican’s 10th goal of the Premier League season.

The home side enjoyed the majority of chances after the break and even scored in the 57th minute, although it was immediately ruled offside.

Kaoru Mitoma prodded the ball home but Yankuba Mitoma was miles offside when he received the ball from Pedro.

Simon Adingra thought he had the winner late on after beating Bernd Leno with a low-driven finish but he too was offside.

Pedro had another good opportunity earlier on after some quick link up play with Georginio Rutter. The latter flicked the ball over Fulham’s defence but Pedro could not keep his effort on target.
