Brentford thrashed Leicester 4-0 to kick start the weekend as Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side fell to a sixth straight home defeat in the Premier League.
Everton went 2-0 up again Manchester United but the Red Devils fought back to draw 2-2, a vital point earned for the former though.
Wolves beat 10-man Bournemouth 1-0 in a closely fought contest, the win saw them go five points clear of the relegation zone.
West Ham also won 1-0 against Arsenal, giving Liverpool an even bigger push in the title race. Jarrod Bowen’s goal before half time was enough to put a dent in the Gunners title charge.
Crystal Palace earned an impressive three points at Craven Cottage as Fulham fell short. Tottenham smashed Ipswich 4-1 away from home and Brighton won 4-0 against Southampton as Kaoru Mitoma scored for the third game in a row.
Saturday’s action ended at Villa Park as Unai Emery’s Aston Villa beat a struggling Chelsea side 2-1.
On Sunday Newcastle beat Nottingham Forest 4-3 after scoring four goals in 11 minutes. Alexander Isak starred by scoring a brace to send his team into fifth.
The game week ended with a blockbuster clash between current leaders Liverpool and reigning champions Manchester City. Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai scored to soar 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
