#5: Jack Hinshelwood (Brighton)

Brighton don’t just find young talent, they develop it too. Jack Hinshelwood joined the Seagulls aged seven and broke into the first team last season.

He started this campaign strong, putting in some top performances alongside Carlos Baleba. His versatility and work rate enable Brighton to succeed all over the pitch.

The 19-year-old has been out injured since the start of November but made his return against Everton during game week 23. Prior to his injury though, he was a vital component of Brighton’s midfield and Fabian Hurzeler’s side have sorely missed him.

#4: Tyler Dibling (Southampton)

As a Southampton fan this season, there isn’t a lot to be happy about. One thing that the Saints can be greatful for though, is the emergence of their very own superstar.

At just 18-year-old, Tyler Dibling has been the shining light in a disappointing side. He’s impressed against sides such as Liverpool and Brighton with his tricky dribbling and ability to draw players in.

If Southampton are relegated, there is no doubt that many clubs will be aiming to secure his signature and bring him back into the Premier League. Dibling is currently valued at around £18.5m according to Transfermarkt.

#3: Lucas Bergvall (Tottenham)

Lucas Bergvall has flown under the radar this season, mainly due to Tottenham’s shocking form. However, despite only making five starts, Bergvall has adapted really well to the Premier League.

The Swedish midfielder is composed and purposeful on the ball, dictating the tempo and driving his team forward.

Out of possession, he is equally as efficient. He times his tackles well and anticipates the game to prevent the opposition threat. Infact, the 18-year-old ranks in the top 1% for defensive actions amongst his positional peers.

Once Spurs begin improving, Bergvall will start to be more appreciated in the middle of the park.

#2: Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal)

Ethan Nwaneri is the youngest player on this list and perhaps the most exciting, although he just misses out on top spot.

The 17-year-old has stepped up in Bukayo Saka’s absence, causing havoc on the wing no matter the opponent.

He has scored six goals in 21 matches in all competitions this season, showcasing his potential at the highest level.

Although Nwaneri’s playing time has been limited, making just three Premier League starts this season. However, in that short time, he has shown that he is a versatile, all-rounded and intelligent player who will be a key player for the Gunners for many years.

#1: Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth)

Taking the top spot is Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen. The 19-year-old has played a key role in the Cherries success this season through his solidity at the back and eye for a killer pass on the counter-attack.

The Spaniard has caught the eye of many top sides and it’s clear why. He reads the game superbly, averaging 1.84 interceptions per 90. Also, he ranks in the top 4% for shot-creating actions per 90 amongst Premier League centre-backs, highlighting his creative spark from deep.
