It’s a matter of days until the 17th installment of the European Championships are underway. Below INMR will predict how the group stages will pan out, as well as the results from all the knockout rounds, before predicting this year’s winner.

Group A – Germany will be favourites to top their group easily, with a perfect blend of experience and young talent, they have potential to go far in the tournament. Switzerland will follow behind them in second, but Scotland will still progress as one of the four best third placed teams.

1st – Germany

2nd – Switzerland

3rd – Scotland

4th – Hungary

Group B – Albania will be the sorry victims of this tournaments group of death as Spain comfortably progress to the knockout stages. Current Champions Italy will make a shock exit in the group stage as Croatia join Spain in the Round of 16.

1st – Spain

2nd – Croatia

3rd – Italy

4th – Albania

Group C – England are favourites alongside France to win the European Championship this year and should comfortably win all their group stage matches. Underdogs Serbia will come second ahead of Slovenia who will still progress as one of the best third placed teams. Denmark will be underwhelming and crash out the tournament early.

3rd – Slovenia

4th – Denmark

Group D – France and Netherlands to progress without any trouble. Poland will sneak through as one of the best third placed teams despite Robert Lewandowski’s injury scares. Austria will struggle for a point in this group with so much quality in the opposing sides.

1st – France

2nd – Netherlands

3rd – Poland

4th – Austria

Group E – A talented Belgium side will do well in the group, dark horses Ukraine will suprise many throughout the tournament and progress to the knockouts. Romania won’t get a look in and Slovakia won’t be able to get enough points to progress in third place.

1st – Belgium

2nd – Ukraine

3rd – Slovakia

4th – Romania

Group F – A perfect blend of experience, youth and players in their prime. Cristiano Ronaldo and co will trump the group emphatically. Turkey will progress too with Czechia also making it through as one of the best third placed teams. Kvicha Kvartsklia won’t be able to drag his nation through the group.

Final: Germany vs France

The home nation will reach the final after beating 2016 winners Portugal in the semi finals whilst France will beat England again at a major tournament. It will no doubt be a tight affair but France will come out on top in Berlin to win their third European Championship.
