One year ago today, Man City completed the hardest feat in football. A perfect treble: Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League victories all in the same season. Pep Guardiola led his boys in sky blue to the pinnacle of club football, here’s what the starting line-up have been up to since.

EDERSON – No suprises here, Ederson has put in another solid season between the sticks for the Cityzens, keeping 10 Premier League clean sheets.

MANUEL AKANJI – Switzerland ace Akanji joined City in September and made an instant impact in defence, solidifying the brick wall made up of players such as Ruben Dias, John Stones and Nathan Ake. This season has been pretty standard, Akanji has played 48 games and added another Premier League medal to his collection.

RUBEN DIAS – Dias has been immense in the past year, marshalling the defence and giving strikers no time at all when they face him. He’s only been dribbled past seven times all season in over 2500 minutes of football. Alongside Arsenal defender William Saliba, Dias is currently the most valuable centre-back in the world.

NATHAN AKE – Ake renewed his contract with the club after the final. This season he played 44 games, endured a couple of small injuries but overall Ake was pretty good. He often rotated position, either replacing Josko Gvardiol at left back or Akanji at centre back.

JOHN STONES – Stones has had limited playing time this season due a hip injury but is about to lead his country to the Euro’s as the main man in defence. International partner Harry Maguire is absent through injury, meaning Stones is due to play an even more important role this summer. His only goal this season came from a clever corner routine against Liverpool.

RODRI – The man who scored the one and only goal in Istanbul, which of course turned out to be the winner. Spanish midfielder Rodri has cemented himself as the best defensive midfielder in the world after another stellar season for the Cityzens. He’s enjoyed his best ever goal-scoring season with nine goals and has also claimed 13 assists.

BERNARDO SILVA – Silva’s brace in the semi-final heavily contributed to City reaching the final in Istanbul, but this season he missed a penalty that saw his side crash out of the competition. Although the Portuguese star has registered 12 goals and 10 assists across all competitions, it was a consistent campaign overall.

ILKAY GUNDOGAN – He captained them to the trophy and is the only player on this list to have left Man City. Gundogan completed his move to Barcelona two weeks after the final as a free agent. He has made 36 La Liga appearances this season, scoring five goals and claiming nine assists.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE – Although he spent half the season injured, De Bruyne has still been superb when he was on the pitch. The Belgian managed four goals and 10 assists in the Premier League despite making just 15 starts. He’s entering the final year of his contract at 32 years old, various MLS and Saudi Pro League sides are interested securing his signature next year.

JACK GREALISH – The £100m man has dropped off significantly this season, with injuries and issues in his personal life playing a part. He’s scored just three goals this season and has lost his place in the starting line-up to Belgian winger Jeremy Doku. Grealish has also been dropped from the England squad going to the Euro’s this summer. It’s been a real wake-up call to revive his career before it’s too late, a return to Aston Villa is reportedly on the cards.

ERLING HAALAND – It was always going to be tricky to top an incredible debut season, scoring 52 goals in 53 games. Haaland has still been great despite not reaching last seasons heights. He won the golden boot again with 27 goals and has won his second Premier League title in as many years. There’s still plenty more to come from the Norweign striker who’s never really ‘out of form’.
