Tottenham (4-3-1-2)

Guglielmo Vicario – 7.3: Fantastic save to deny Foden early on, making one of the saves of the season. A good performance overall but still just one clean sheet in his last 20 appearences. Not a lot he could do about the goals from Haaland.

Pedro Porro – 5.8: Was average in the first half but kept City at bay, had a lot to do on his wing. Conceded a penalty at the death, lunging in desperately against Doku.

Cristian Romero – 6.4: Won most of his duels and tackles in first half but his night went bad after the interval. He lost a very soft 50/50 duel against Foden which led to the first goal. He also ended Ederson’s night with a reckless lunge towards the ball in an attempt to equalise.

Radu Dragusin – 7.2: Made an excellent block to deny Bernardo Silva at the end of the half and beat Haaland in a physically with an excellent challenge. Continued to do well against top opposition, he’s someone we’ll see a lot more from next season I’m sure.

Mickey Van de Ven – 6.0: Played at LB and struggled, leaving Walker acres of space to exploit on wing. Not easy playing out of position against City but it was still way below his usual standards. A very fatigued performance from the Dutchman.

Rodrigo Bentancur – 6.8: Had a decent effort early on to test Ederson. Did well in the midfield, putting in a tireless performance. Came off after 55 minutes, much to his frustration.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 5.7: The total opposite of Bentancur, so passive in midfield and made one error that nearly resulted in Foden scoring.

James Maddison – 7.6: Good link up play and movement off the ball, looks like he’ll be back to himself next season playing at his top level. He created the most chances in the game and won the most duels, all without putting a single foot wrong.

Pape Sarr – 6.3: Got forward well when spurs regained possession, was busy in the false nine role. Created a half chance for Johnson but never really made a big impact on the match.

Brennan Johnson – 6.4: Had a good amount of success down the right wing but never did anything with it in terms of the final pass. Not his best game in a Spurs shirt by any means.

Heung-Min Son – 6.3: The Spurs captain was invisible until the 85th minute when he was presented a glorious opportuniy to equalise. He was one-on-one with Ortega who he hit it straight at. Really poor by his standards.

Oliver Skipp (sub 85′) – N/A: Came on late and had just six touches.

Giovani Lo Celso (sub 85′) – N/A: Came on late for some fresh legs in midfield to see out the match.

Dejan Kulusevski (sub 55′) – 6.7: Came on in the 55th minute for Bentancur. One great effort went through Ortega’s legs but couldn’t find a way into the back of the net. He had another chance later in the match but couldn’t convert. Not a bad performance, he tried his best to make something happen.

Mikey Moore (sub 90′) – N/A: Only on the pitch for additional time.

Manchester City(4-2-3-1)

Ederson – 7.5: Started the game off strong by meeting Bentancur’s early shot well and didn’t have much to do for the rest of the first half. He came off in the 69th minute due to a head injury caused by Romero. A strong and confident performance before he was forced to make way.

Kyle Walker – 6.9: Made good runs in behind in various occasions and was gifted so much time on the wings due to Van de Ven’s poor positioning. Also created a good chance for Gvardiol with a lovely ball over the top towards the back post.

Ruben Dias – 7.0: Created one chance and won 100% of his tackles. Quiet game but dominant in defence when he needed to be, didn’t put a foot wrong.

Manuel Akanji – 6.4: Didn’t have a lot to do but his big error nearly cost City if not for Ortega’s save. He made one good challenge on Johnson towards the end but that was the only duel he won all game.

Josko Gvardiol – 7.5: Another strong performance from a man in form. No goal for the Crotian this time but he was still good going forward and just as impressive in defence. He won 100% of his duels, made five passes into the final third and completed 100% of his dribbles. Caught out at times though by Johnson but he always recovered well and it was never costly.

Rodri – 7.1: Kept the ball well throughout, did the basics right and marshalled the midfield. He shut things down in the midfield especially in the first half, winning the most duels out of any player in the opening 45 minutes.

Mateo Kovacic – 6.9: Man City’s unsung hero in midfield this season and he did pretty good tonight too. Anticipated the play well in midfield, cutting out Tottenham’s passes as they tried to build something.

Kevin De Bruyne – 7.7: Very quiet first half but grew into the game, got the assist for Haaland’s opener. In that move he timed his run really well and put it on a plate for Haaland in typical fashion. Got a nick on his achilles and was brought off for Doku in the 69th minute.

Bernardo Silva – 6.2: Forgot he was on the pitch at times, didn’t do anything wrong but was barely involved in the game.

Phil Foden – 7.9: Nearly scored in the first half after capitilising on Hojbjerg’s mistake but was denied by Vicario. He created plenty in first 20 minutes, finding Walker so easily with great vision. He won the battle with Romero to start the move that resulted in the opener. An incredible ball to Doku too that led to the penalty being given.

Erling Haaland – 8.4: Didn’t get a sniff at goal in the first half but got the goals when it mattered most as he so often does. A very simple finish for the opener and the penalty was emphatic to edge his side towards their fourth successive Premier League title.

Jeremy Doku (sub 69′) – 7.3: Made positive start immediately, keeping ball well and being creative on the wing. Won the penalty that decided the match with great feet and a drop of the shoulder. Doku was dancing through the Spurs defence until the final whistle. A decent cameo from the Belgian.

Stefan Ortega (sub 69′) – 8.0: Huge impact and arguably man of the match. He made a great stop just after coming on and a potentially season winning save in a one-on-one against Son when it was still 1-0. Three huge saves in half an hour that have most likely won City the league.

Julian Alvarez (sub 90′) – N/A: Only on the pitch for additional time.
